[NTDTV, Beijing, April 10, 2022]The Billboard Music Awards announced on the 8th the nominees for the 2022 awards. Among them, the popular Korean boy group BTS (BTS) was shortlisted for six awards.
BTS was nominated for “Top Duo/Group”, “Top Song Sales Artist”, “Top Billboard Global Artist/Excl. US”, “Top Selling Song”, “Top Billboard Global Song/Excl. US” and “Top Rock” Song)” six awards.
Among them, “Top Selling Song” was shortlisted with two songs “Butter” and “Permission to Dance”, so BTS may win up to seven trophies. Shortlisted for six awards and a total of seven nominations, it is the highest nomination record for BTS in the Billboard Music Awards.
And “My Universe” by BTS and Coldplay (Coldplay) made them shortlisted for the “Top Rock Song” award for the first time.
In the past, BTS won the “Top Social Artist” award at the Billboard Music Awards in 2017, and the “Top Duo/Group” award in 2019, and they won the “Top Social Artist” award again in 2020, in 2021. Won the “Top Selling Song”, “Top Song Sales Artist”, “Top Duo/Group”, “Top Social Artist” four awards.
The 2022 Billboard Music Awards will be held on May 15, local time at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, USA.
