Prince William attends BAFTA Awards 2024 alone
Prince William has resumed his agenda. After having remained at all times with Kate Middleton following the abdominal surgery, for which she was admitted to the hospital, the heir to the British throne has once again taken charge of his commitments at the head of the Crown. “I haven’t seen Barbie yet,” admitted the son of Diana of Wales to one of the attendees. For her part, he responded that he had “to see it,” and the Prince assured that he “hopes to catch up” and watch all the movies he has pending with her wife, Kate Middleton. A plan that both will now be able to carry out perfectly, especially considering that the Princess of Wales remains at rest and she will continue to do so until Easter time.
But this was not the only mistake that Prince William made that garnered a lot of attention. When speaking with Mia McKenna-Bruce, winner of a BAFTA Award for her role in the drama film ‘How to have sex’, the future King declared that it seemed like a “very fun” production. Some words that suggested that she had not seen it, since it is a fiction in which the protagonist goes on vacation to a Greek island where she is raped by a tourist.
These details suggest that perhaps Prince William has not sufficiently prepared his appearance at the gala in question. Something that would not be at all strange, especially taking into account the difficult situation that he has gone through in recent weeks after the operation of his life partner and the detection of cancer in his father, Carlos III. However, these are times in which the heir to the throne will be able to demonstrate that he is perfectly qualified to assume his role as the future King when appropriate, since it is he who is assuming the main functions of the Royal Family together with Queen Camilla.
Given the complicated circumstances that Prince William has faced, it is worth noting that at all times, his appearance at the 2024 BAFTA Awards was marked by seriousness. Dressed in a blue velvet tuxedo, dickie bow tie, and black patent leather brogues, Lady Di’s first-born son became one of the most prominent faces of the evening, although with a sober appearance. Unlike his daughter-in-law, King Charles has chosen to view his illness as completely normal. The sovereign opted for the family residence in Norfolk to continue his cancer treatment.
