Carrie Lam Named Ambassador of 48th Hong Kong International Film Festival

The Hong Kong International Film Festival Association made an announcement on January 24th that acclaimed actor Carrie Lam has been selected to serve as the ambassador of the 48th Hong Kong International Film Festival. The festival is scheduled to run from March 28 to April 8.

Lam, a recipient of numerous awards at the prestigious Hong Kong Film Awards, is set to take over the important role of ambassador from Aaron Kwok, who had previously held the position for five consecutive years. In addition to her ambassadorial duties, Lam will also be serving as a judge for this year’s “Firebird Awards” New Talent Film Competition, in an effort to identify and recognize emerging talents in the film industry.

Furthermore, the association unveiled the theme poster for the 48th Hong Kong International Film Festival, with the design theme titled “A Portal to Another World“. The poster features brightly colored and lively settings in the vibrant streets of Hong Kong illuminated by neon lights, serving as a visual representation of the festival’s aim to provide a captivating cinematic experience that transcends time and space.
