An embarrassing event took place on Saturday night outside the Monumental Simón Bolívar stadium when state security forces clashed with fans of Colombian singer Karol G.
According to journalist Mary Laguna from sister newspaper Block of Arms, 2001, a large group of people attempted to force their way into the venue without tickets as Karol G was about to perform her second song. This marks the first time Carolina Giraldo has performed in Venezuela and she is the first international female artist to headline at the Monumental Simón Bolivar stadium, as well as the third foreign artist to ever hold a concert at the venue.
