Chen Yalan Returns to Filming Location to Thank God for New Gezi Opera Drama
“The Golden Bell TV King” Chen Yalan and Taiwanese director Ye Tianlun have teamed up as producers to launch the first Gezi Opera drama titled “Family of Courage”. Chen Yalan, who believes in God, recently returned to the filming location to thank God and pray for the smooth launch of the drama on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the establishment of the temple.
In “The Courageous Family”, Chen Yalan not only serves as a producer but also stars in the show. Alongside her production partners Ye Tianlun and director Lin Bosheng, the crew is gearing up for what promises to be an exciting project. Despite their nerves and lack of experience with Gezi Opera, Ye Tianlun and Lin Bosheng expressed their excitement and admiration for working with the professional Chen Yalan.
Director Lin Bosheng described working with Chen Yalan as the most nerve-wracking experience in his 40 years of filming, while Ye Tianlun remarked on Chen Yalan’s seriousness during filming, joking that he felt like he was being watched every day.
Through their collaboration, Lin Bosheng and Ye Tianlun have discovered the beauty and complexity of Gezi Opera, vowing to preserve and promote this local opera culture in Taiwan.
Chen Yalan emphasized her commitment to preserving Gezi Opera and encouraged audiences to support and appreciate the art form. “Family of Courage” showcases the vitality of both the characters on stage and behind the scenes, with a talented cast led by Zhuang Kaixun, Kaichang, Lin Yuxuan, and others.
The series, which conveys the positive energy of following the laws of nature and justice, is set to premiere in Taiwan in April. Fans of Gezi Opera and Taiwanese drama enthusiasts can look forward to a compelling and culturally rich viewing experience.
