INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — DeMar DeRozan scored 46 points, including the go-ahead 3-pointer in overtime, to help the Chicago Bulls beat the Indiana Pacers 132-129 on Wednesday night.
The star guard’s only triple at 2:17 of overtime pushed the Chicago Bulls ahead, 127-123. Indiana Pacers star point guard Tyrese Haliburton missed a three-pointer just before the buzzer sounded.
The final 72 seconds of regulation were very entertaining as Pacers center Myles Turner hit 3-pointers on consecutive possessions with 1:12 and 56.7 seconds left for a three-point lead. However, De Rozan nailed a free throw and hit a jump shot with 0.3 seconds left that forced overtime.
Both teams exchanged leads 12 times in the fourth quarter.
The Bulls’ Alex Caruso scored 23 points and Ayo Dosunmu added 20.
Turner led the Pacers with 27 points with five 3-pointers. Pascal Siakam added 17 points and grabbed nine rebounds. Haliburton also produced 17 and 14 assists.
