Dear fuels, half of Italians reduce the use of cars

ROME – Despite the government’s intervention with the cut in excise duties (a measure that should be extended), motorists continue to pay an increasingly high fuel bill. It is therefore not surprising that, according to the survey commissioned by Facile.it to mUp Research, in the last three months almost half of Italian drivers (46%) have reduced the use of the car, especially in their free time, in order to save some EUR.

According to the study conducted on a representative sample of the national population, the strategies adopted are different: 47% of the respondents, equal to about twenty million people, declared that they pay more attention in choosing the petrol station sign (favoring independent channels and self-service modes), while almost one in three motorists have changed their driving style by adopting one capable of reducing fuel consumption.
