Domodossola cameras reveal the face of the vandals of via Rosmini

The cameras have immortalized the faces of the perpetrators of last weekend’s vandalism in Domodossola. Now municipal police officers are working to identify them, that is, to name those faces. Lucio Pizzi, mayor of the city, is certain that it will be possible to identify them.

“The agents are viewing the videos and I’m sure there will be positive developments,” the mayor of Domese let slip. The news comes a few days after the latest damage caused to the public construction site in via Rosmini and Mattarella. The facts are those of the past weekend: the yard’s lamps broken, the barriers ripped up. And it’s not the first time this has happened. Every Monday morning, now, the workers do the damage count.

To announce the presence in the area of video cameras, last Monday, was the owner of the Trocadero nightclub.

Tanzarella’s appeal
Tiziano Tanzarella, known as “Tanza”, having learned the news of the vandalism, had hoped that the perpetrators could be identified thanks to the cameras placed along the pedestrian path that runs alongside the construction site. Tanza has also issued a warning not to repeat such episodes. The position taken by the owner of the ballroom is not accidental. After months of downtime in discos, last week had marked the restart of the sector. So in Domodossola more than one has linked the vandalism to the “people of the night” who frequent the nearby disco.

It is true, however, that the vandalism against construction sites in Domodossola is not new. The Frua company, the company that together with Dremar was awarded the works for the project “from the village of culture to the Sacred Mount Calvary” reported repeated damage to their equipment.

Night raids
It has also been ascertained that, especially on weekends, unknown persons enter the construction site at night, endangering their own safety. The construction management of the Ossola firm had also made a complaint in the autumn. In December, however, while the refurbishment of the underground utilities in via Mattarella was progressing, the vandals left some houses in the area without methane gas. Also in this case the fact had been reported to the local police.
