Domodossola entrusts the management of the opening of the museums to a Roman cooperative

Archearte is the Rome cooperative that for 2022 will manage the opening of the civic museums of Domodossola. The offer presented is the best among those received by the municipal offices. “It is a company already active in the sector, very well established and which also boasts organization in the field of guided tours” explains Daniele Folino, councilor for culture of Domodossola. For the management of the Domesi museums, the cooperative entrusted itself to the three girls who in the past, on behalf of the Ossola Museums association, managed the service. “To Amo goes our thanks for the work done in recent years” adds the commissioner Domese.

The cost of the service for the municipal coffers is 50,000 euros, but 30,000 will come from the Ruminelli Foundation. «It is part of the agreement signed by the municipal administration with the president of the Antonio Pagani Foundation. It is an important partnership for the city »adds Councilor Folino. Archearte will not only manage the opening of Palazzo San Francesco, but also that of Palazzo Silva. For the latter, the return of visitors is scheduled for June.

The collections of Palazzo San Francesco are open from Thursday to Sunday from 10 to 13 and from 15 to 18. «Unlike in the past, the doors of the museum in Piazza Ruminelli remain open continuously throughout the year. It is the clear sign that our administration believes in culture and works to improve the offer more and more »explains Folino.

Upcoming exhibitions
As regards the cultural offer, work is being done on several fronts. Palazzo San Francesco will be the last stage of the “Visionary women” exhibition by photographer Jill Mathis which is taking place in recent weeks in Cannobio and which will then move to Verbania, Santa Maria Maggiore, Mergozzo, Ghiffa and Omegna.

Furthermore, the final details of the exhibition-event that Palazzo San Francesco will host starting from July are being defined.

“It’s early to reveal the details. The review was designed for 2020 and we are making some corrections, but it will really be an event – promises Folino -. And then also the reopening of Palazzo Silva will be combined with the inauguration of an important exhibition ».
