Ela Restobar Amsterdam: a wonderful addition to the Jordaan!
Ela Restobar opened a few months ago on the Elandsgracht in Amsterdam. And as soon as we arrive we are happy about this. The pleasant hustle and bustle of the Elandsgracht, the first guests to take a seat on the terrace: the location alone makes you want to sit here and people watch. The interior is warm, with wood and retro elements, we love these kinds of places! And the menu makes us even happier. Ela Restobar has one all day concept, so you can eat delicious dishes from them all day long. But also have an espresso at the bar: from May they will open in the morning. And because they are open until 3:00 am, you can have a great drink here. The terrace is also open until late and gets plenty of afternoon sun: great for the summer!

Mediterranean dishes to share at Ela Restobar Amsterdam
The menu features Mediterranean dishes to share, and literally everything is extremely tasty! What were our highlights? The hamachi really melts in your mouth: thinly sliced fish in buttermilk, and the green dill oil and purslane makes this a wonderfully fresh spring dish. The steak tartare is also fantastic. Finely chopped, classically prepared, add a few anchovies if you like, and wafer-thin carasau bread serve as toast to eat the tartare with. The flavors are fresh and you can taste the high quality!

Iberian Ham like you ate it in Spain
Do you feel like Iberian Ham like you ate in Spain? Be sure to order it at Ela Restobar. With this platter you get a huge amount of wafer-thin sliced ham, which takes you back to Spain with every bite. The bread you get with it is also fantastic: slightly moist and nice and firm. And of course you spread it with grated tomato, as they always do in Spanish sandwich shops. Wow! And we really enjoy the Burrata with pistachios and orange. Another delicious, fresh spring dish!

If you are having a drink, there are also some smaller snacks on the menu: from hummus with focaccia to trout eggs with crème fraîche and chips. And be sure to try their own limoncello! We thought Ela Restobar was a really nice place: a place where everyone is welcome and where you are always surprised because everything is just a little more special and tastier than you are used to. Recommended in the Jordaan!
