Farewell to Professor Bruna, she taught mathematics to generations of Racconigesi

She was a “pasionaria” of the school, which has always represented the most important part of her life, far beyond the simple working aspect. The walls of the Racconigi school were, for Bruna Paschetta, a second home. She put her students first, she believed in the power of education. The professor, who taught mathematics in the middle school to generations of Racconigesi, died at the age of 85.

«Bruna was a woman who changed people’s lives – recalls the former city councilor, and former student, Luca Meinardi -. At school she knew how to teach with simple words, but she always demanded the best. She sometimes she whipped her with her stinging comments but never inappropriately. ” Mayor Valerio Oderda adds: «The city loses a reference figure. Besides being a symbol of the scholastic institution, she was a woman of profound culture ».

Her commitment in the social field should also be remembered. In the 1980s she adopted two children, Carlo and Margaret, alone. “She raised them like a mother – Meinardi says again -, with important values”.

Politically aligned to the left, Bruna Paschetta was part of the city’s Democratic Party, actively participating in the political debate, always expressing her thoughts and points of view on every topic dealt with by the club without hesitation. She leaves her children Margaret and Carlo with their respective families and brothers Sergio and Elvio. Her funeral will take place tomorrow afternoon (February 18), at 3 pm, in the church of San Giovanni in Racconigi, starting from the San Giuseppe di Caramagna retirement home, where she had been a guest for some time.
