ROMA – With the composition of the Board of Directors and the corporate name of the new entity, the arrival of “Free2Move eSolutions” is getting closer and closer. The joint venture between Stellantis and Engie Eps, announced on January 26th, will focus on supporting and facilitating the transition to electric mobility by offering innovative solutions designed specifically for both private and corporate players in the value chain. The scope of action of the Free2Move eSolutions activities will be wide-ranging and will range from recharging infrastructures (installation, assistance and operation) to subscriptions for public and domestic recharging for a monthly fee, up to the management of the battery life cycle and services. advanced energy systems such as the integration of Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) systems and energy management solutions to reduce the total cost of ownership of vehicles.

In practice, the new joint venture between Stellantis and Engie Eps will simplify access to e-mobility and will enrich the current Free2Move portfolio with a series of offers entirely dedicated to electric mobility. Free2Move (in the orbit of the Stellantis group) is a technology company specializing in mobility, and was created in 2016 with the aim of simplifying and guaranteeing mobility for private and corporate customers with solutions able to meet different needs, everywhere and at any time, from an hour to a day, a month or more, through a single platform. The company also offers advanced solutions to support the energy transition and fleet management for professionals.

The new joint venture was founded globally and is supported by a team with great skills and specific know-how to design, develop, produce, distribute and sell innovative solutions for electric mobility throughout the Old Continent, and subsequently even well beyond the European borders. The Board of Directors of Free2Move eSolutions will be composed of six members: Roberto Di Stefano, who represents Stellantis, will be the CEO and Carlalberto Guglielminotti, from Engie Eps and Young Global Leader 2020 of the World Economic Forum, will be the president.

The other members of the Board of Directors will be Brigitte Courtehoux (CEO of Free2Move Brand and member of the Global Executive Committee of Stellantis) and Davide Mele (deputy chief operating officer enlarged Europe) of Stellantis, with Luigi Michi (former head of strategy and system operation at Terna and in Enel) and Giovanni Ravina (chief innovation officer) who represents Engie Eps. The green light for the new company Free2Move eSolutions from the competent authorities has already been ratified and the completion of the joint venture is expected by next June. (mr)
