One hundred and fifty jobs reserved for Ukrainian refugees. This is the heart of the new humanitarian project that the National Chamber of Italian Fashion has launched to facilitate the integration into the world of work of people who, having fled Ukraine after the invasion by the Russians, have taken refuge in Italy. It is not the first humanitarian initiative: since the beginning of the conflict, which broke out just as the Milan fashion week was taking place, the brands in the sector (and CNMI) have sent aid and allocated funds.
«Europe is experiencing a severe political and humanitarian crisis. As an institution and as individuals we all feel the need to offer our concrete and direct contribution to people – explains Carlo Capasa, president of Cnmi -. Thanks to the commitment, sensitivity and generosity of our members, we are able to activate a project that offers hope and builds bridges for a peaceful, collaborative and inclusive future ». Waiting for the interpretative circular of the Dpcm 28 March 2022, which indicates the provisions regarding residence permits for refugees, Camera Moda with the Regions and local authorities of the municipalities reported by the fashion companies, indicating to them the number of jobs available on the territory, in order to be able to come into direct contact with the refugees present on site and interested in the project.
