by admin

It will be Minister Speranza who will kick off the 14th edition of the Health Festival today in Viareggio at 5 pm. The appointment, until October 31st, is in Torre del Lago with face-to-face meetings until Sunday. Then there will be a second stop in Siena, from 11 to 14 November. There are many themes planned: in-depth studies on Covid, on monoclonal treatments, but also an overview of traditional pathologies, neglected precisely by the pandemic emergency, to end with the latest news of scientific research. Obviously without neglecting proper nutrition and only life.

60 events are scheduled. All the professional categories of Medicine and Health will intervene – researchers, professors, doctors, institutions, psychologists, nurses – so that health information is transmitted in a language that everyone can understand. Among the speakers Antonella Viola, Immunologist Professor of General Pathology at the University of Padua, who will talk about the future of research; Giovanni Zanchetta, Full Professor at the Department of Earth Sciences, University of Pisa; Paolo Veronesi, full professor of surgery at the University of Milan and director of the IEO Senology Program; Marcello Lippi, former national coach, champion of the 2006 World Cup and Sara Morganti, Paralympic athlete, medalist in Tokyo 2021.

From 11 to 14 November the Health Festival then moves to Siena: the debates will focus on vaccines, diabetes (14 November is World Diabetes Day), innovation, and even Covid: a long period of emergency has taught the importance of physical and psychological health, the need for research, prevention through protection and controls of the individual and the community. During all days of the Festival, those present will be able to undergo free screening and medical consultations at the Sala Vangi del Principino Eventi.

«We are leaving behind difficult months that forced us to rethink our event in terms of execution and also in the content to be offered to our visitors – explain Paolo Amabile and Mario di Luca, creator and organizer of the Festival -. We have thought of proposing a “multichannel” festival, because it will take place in different ways; because the appointments will be different; because there will be different ways to follow them ».
