HBO’s “The Last of Us” TV series will not air in 2022

DoNews February 19 news (Liu Wenxuan) HBO has announced the filming and casting news of the video game adaptation TV series “The Last of Us” as early as 2020 and now has new progress. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, show director Casey Bloys revealed that the crew is still filming in Calgary, Canada, but is largely certain it won’t hit shelves in 2022.

The currently confirmed cast includes “The Mandalorian” and “Narcos” star Pedro Pascal as Joel; “Game of Thrones” Bella Ramsey as Ellie. Other cast members include Merle Dandridge, Gabriel Luna, Anna Torv and Nick Offerman.

HBO has also sent in “Chernobyl” director Johan Renck and screenwriter Craig Mazin to collaborate again, and Neil Druckmann, president of game developer Naughty Dog, will also give advice as an executive producer.
