Hong Kong Veteran Artist Chen Dick Passes Away at 76, Family Relationship with Actress Charmaine Sheh Discovered
Hong Kong veteran artist Chen Dick, formerly known as Chen Junrong, passed away on the 15th at the age of 76 due to illness. The farewell ceremony, held on the 19th, saw many former collaborators and friends in attendance, including Chow Yun-fat and his wife, Cheng Shaoqiu, Huang Rihua, and more. Surprisingly, during the ceremony, it was revealed that Chen Dick had a relative relationship with the famous actress Charmaine Sheh.
Chen Dick had been battling pneumonia for the past month and unfortunately, despite efforts, he could not be cured. The farewell ceremony took place at the Tung Hoi Hall of the Kowloon Funeral Home, where many artists from the industry paid their respects by sending wreaths.

The center of the mourning hall featured heart-shaped flower plaques with the words “Always Hold My Heart Open”, symbolizing the love and memories shared by the family.
During the ceremony, the media captured the wreaths sent by family members, one of which was from Charmaine Sheh, with a message that read, “Uncle Chen Junrong will be missed forever, and the whole family pays tribute to my niece Charmaine Sheh.” It was revealed that Charmaine Sheh is actually related to Chen Dick.
The news of Chen Dick’s passing has deeply saddened the entertainment industry and fans alike. He leaves behind a legacy of artistic excellence and lasting memories. May he rest in peace.
