Jordan Brand’s Wings Initiative program is reaching new heights with the release of the Air Jordan 1 Mid “Subway” designed by students from across the United States. The shoe, titled “Role Model”, is a tribute to the MTA workers who keep New York City running smoothly.
The collaborative design showcases the iconic gray color of the city’s subway system, with leather construction to ensure durability and waterproofing. Reflective details, speckled outsoles, and heartfelt messages like “Thank You For All You Do” and “Always Go Forward” adorn the shoe, while the “WINGS” pattern on the heel adds a finishing touch.
The Air Jordan 1 Mid “Subway” will be released on May 15 exclusively in elementary school, preschool, and toddler sizes. Priced at $125, $85, and $70 respectively, the shoes will be available on Nike’s official website and Jordan stores in New York City.
This unique collaboration is a testament to Jordan Brand’s commitment to supporting young talent and honoring essential workers. Stay tuned for more updates on this limited release.
