ROME – Spirit of adventure, passion and respect for nature represent a subtle fil rouge that binds Land Rover, with the Defender, to the world of riding. A universe that, until Sunday 29 May, finds its center in Villa Borghese, in the capital, on the occasion of the 89th edition of the “Csio di Roma Piazza di Siena – Master Fratelli d’Inzeo”. The important event, one of the most prestigious and loved of the international equestrian circus, saw the renewal of the agreement that sees, with the Defender, Land Rover official partner of the Italian Federation of equestrian sports and official transportation car, with a fleet of the iconic model available to the organization and athletes. The grassy ellipse of Villa Borghese and the Galloppatoio host a rich program of competitions which also includes a fascinating polo tournament, the inevitable carousels and, on Friday 27 May, the “Land Rover Award”.
In line with the zero-impact bio-architecture philosophy that inspired the organizers (Fise, Sport and Salute, the Municipality of Rome and the Lazio Region) this year, Land Rover has created a particular exhibition project to reflect the materiality and sustainability strategy of the brand. In the hospitality stage and in the other areas of presence of the house, the careful choice of materials used, recycled or recyclable, combines design, innovation and reflects in a particular way, respect and authentic attention for the natural spaces of the historic site.
The Land Rover Defender will be present in the corporate hospitality area and in the race field with the 90 Hybrid version, as well as in the fleet of courtesy cars used to transport the riders who will participate in the event. The spotlight will then be on Giulia Martinengo Marquet, the first Land Rover ambassador for the equestrian world, international champion and already winner of the Nations Cup, right in Piazza di Siena in 2018.

Admission to the public is free and the key events are on Friday with the “Nations Cup” team competition, on Saturday with the exciting “Sei Barriere”, while on Sunday the grand final with the Rolex Rome Grand Prix, and the traditional Caroselli of the Lancers of Montebello, of the boys of San Raffaele Viterbo and of the 4th Carabinieri Regiment.
