KING CITY, Calif. (AP) — Four people were killed and three wounded after several masked men opened fire at an outdoor party in central California, police say.
Police responded to a shooting call around 6:00 p.m. in King City and found three men with gunshot wounds whose deaths were certified in a garden, the town’s police said in a statement.
Four other people suffered gunshot wounds, including a woman who died after being taken to Mee Memorial Hospital in King City, about 170 kilometers (106 miles) south of San Jose.
The three injured men were taken to Natividad Hospital in Salinas, according to police.
There were several people at the party outside a home when three men in black clothes and masks got out of a silver car and shot at the group. The suspects, who were not initially identified, then fled the scene in the car.
The investigation was ongoing, police said.
