Mexican actor Juan Verduzco passes away at 78
The Mexican acting community is mourning the loss of one of its beloved members as Juan Verduzco, a veteran actor who appeared in over 30 television programs, has passed away at the age of 78. The news was confirmed by the National Association of Actors (Anda) on their social media account.
In a statement, Anda expressed their deep sorrow over the death of Verduzco, calling him a valued member of their union. The actor, born in Chihuahua, Mexico in 1946, had a successful career spanning over five decades, appearing in films, soap operas, and television series.
Verduzco’s acting career began in 1967 when he made his big screen debut in the film “La casa de las fieras.” He later went on to secure leading roles, with his first major role coming in 1978 in “Gotita de gente.”
Some of Verduzco’s most notable performances include his role alongside Verónica Castro in the 1987 soap opera “Rosa Salvaje.” He also appeared in popular shows like “My Second Mother,” “Poor Rich Girl,” “Pink Shoelaces,” “Long Live the Children,” “Bridal Veil,” “A Lucky Family,” “The Cat,” and “The Hotel of Secrets.”
In addition to his work in dramas, Verduzco also showcased his comedic talents in shows like “Dr. Cándido Pérez” and “La Familia P. Luche.”
