MSGM Unveils 2024 Autumn/Winter Collection at Milan Fashion Week

Italian fashion brand MSGM, under the creative direction of Massimo Giorgetti, has officially released its 2024 autumn and winter series at Milan Fashion Week. The show, held at the Porta Venezia metro station, questioned the speed of the world and the need for constant haste in modern life.

Giorgetti, in his show notes, pondered on the pace of the world, asking, “Is time faster than a motorcycle? The subway? Technology? Do we really need to be that fast?” The show, accompanied by a fast-paced soundtrack, emphasized the rush of life in a straightforward manner.

The newly launched collection includes a range of clothing categories such as coats, blazers, knitwear, hoodies, sweatshirts, short-sleeved tops, suit pants, and jeans. The pieces are presented in a variety of colors, from black, gray, and red, to pink, blue, white, and brown. The collection expresses the speed of the world through elements such as patterns, cuts, and materials.

With the theme of “Speed”, Giorgetti questioned whether modern life signifies growth, aging, or truly living. He aimed to pay homage to childhood, using a lively and innocent mentality to distance the public from existential ideas while conveying the concept of “life is a race against time.”

The show was a blend of fashion and philosophy, with Giorgetti’s collection challenging the audience to reflect on the fast-paced nature of contemporary life and the importance of slowing down.
