It all started almost for fun. Claudio Di Cillo and Veronica Peragine have been friends for years: one evening, at dinner with their families, Veronica focuses on the absence of a product that can satisfy the incessant demand of customers for a natural product not oily that could help the growth and thickening of eyelashes and eyebrows. In the following days Claudio, intrigued by the conversation held at dinner with friends, begins to search for information on the reference market, potential competitors and substitutes.
A few months later Claudio and Veronica win the Pin call of the Puglia Region which finances, in part and with a grant, the Biolashina project of the Natural Lash start-up founded by the two young people to which Domenico Garzone is added with one goal: to create natural cosmetics able to help improve one’s beauty image in order to regain self-confidence, as the three entrepreneurs explain.

The company has a research and development laboratory in the province of Bari, to internalize the formulation phase and subsequently the production. «The raw materials used in the laboratory are purchased from qualified suppliers and are all of vegetable or natural origin – they continue -. Each production batch is subjected to chemical-physical and microbiological checks and analyzes to verify compliance by evaluating the organoleptic parameters of color, smell and appearance ».
Attention to the environment and the circular economy are the focus of the mission: «Sustainable technologies and renewable energy are increasingly spurring start-ups all over the world to invest in the green economy – add the three entrepreneurs -. We believe that the future is inevitably directed towards the eco-sustainability of innovations and only by having this entrepreneurial vision will it be possible to remain in the global job market “.
The first product launched by the company, Biolashina, is a strengthening and growth stimulator serum for eyelashes and eyebrows based on 100% natural active ingredients, particularly recommended in the case of sparse, thin, weak, brittle eyelashes and eyebrows with a tendency to fall. The innovation of the project and the business skills were promoted with the victory of the Pin (Pugliesi Innovativi) tender of the Puglia Region, the initiative through which the Region and the Regional Agency for Technology and Innovation they support young people from Puglia in the realization of entrepreneurial projects with non-repayable loans. The measure is aimed at informal groups of at least two young people residing in Puglia, aged between 18 and 35 years.
