New Balance Reorganizes MADE in USA Series Under Creative Director Teddy Santis
Under the leadership of creative director Teddy Santis, New Balance’s MADE in USA series has been reorganized to showcase the brand’s commitment to original American craftsmanship and exceptional design. With over 70% of the processes taking place in the United States and sourcing materials locally, the upcoming MADE in USA 2024 spring and summer series is set to be a true reflection of American values.
Scheduled for official launch on February 8th this year, the series will be released in five stages, each offering a unique selection of clothing and footwear. The first phase will introduce bright seasonal tones and classic neutral-colored shoes, featuring new interpretations of the classic 990v4, 990v6, 996, and 998 models. Color combinations have been re-adjusted to align with Teddy Santis’ aesthetic, offering refreshing takes on the brand’s iconic styles.
In the second phase, the classic 990v4 will be released in two new colors, nut color, and arctic gray, both featuring contrasting black soles and two-color mountain laces. The third phase will see the introduction of new colors for the 993 and a camouflage version of the 990v6, along with a range of traditional running clothing. The fourth phase will highlight the sea salt-colored U993WS and a limited edition U990NB4 with high-gloss green and contrasting white knitted mesh uppers. The final stage, set for late June, will introduce two versions of the 990v6 in neutral and pastel tones, rounding off the spring and summer collection.
The reorganized series seeks to enhance New Balance’s classic designs through Teddy Santis’ fresh perspective, while paying homage to the brand’s rich history and artistry.
