Disney has officially announced a new original “Star Wars” spin-off series, “Star Wars: Skeleton Crew,” starring Jude Law, launching on Disney+ in 2023. Unveiled at Star Wars Celebration, Star Wars: The Crew is from Spider-Man 3 director Jon Watts and writer Christopher Ford, with Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni serving as producers.

Star Wars: The Backbone Crew is about a group of 10-year-olds from an asteroid who get lost in a galaxy far, far away and must find their way home. The story takes place after the “Star Wars: Return of the Jedi” movie, adapting to the “Star Wars: The Mandalorian” and “Star Wars: Ahsoka” timeline.
In addition to Star Wars: The Skeleton Crew, Disney also announced that the third season of Star Wars: The Mandalorian will begin in February 2023.
