Soap opera producer Nicandro Díaz mourned by friends and colleagues in Mexico City
Mexico City – The artistic community in Mexico City was left in shock following the unexpected death of renowned soap opera producer Nicandro Díaz. Many figures who worked with him in his productions, along with friends, family, and co-workers, gathered to say their final goodbyes at a funeral home in the city, where he was buried. Prior to this, Televisa held a mass in his honor at their facilities, where Díaz spent 36 years working.
Actress Marjorie de Sousa, visibly affected by the loss, expressed her gratitude to Díaz for bringing her to Mexico to participate in “Amores Verdaderos” and for giving her the opportunity to play her first leading role in the soap opera “Hasta el fin del Mundo.”
Actor Eduardo Yáñez, who worked closely with Díaz on several projects, also shared heartfelt words, describing the producer as a dear friend who significantly influenced his life and career. Yáñez credited Díaz for supporting him in important projects and shaping his career as an actor.
Producer Juan Osorio, moved by the loss of his close friend, described Díaz as a brother and a mentor. He recalled the deep bond they shared and the support they provided each other throughout their careers.

Nicandro Díaz Jr. thanked everyone for their love and shared that his father’s ashes will be kept at their home as a final resting place.
