Off-White™ Launches “Black By Popular Demand” Collection at Paris Fashion Week
Off-White™ made a statement during Paris Fashion Week with the official launch of its 2024 autumn and winter series show, titled “Black By Popular Demand.” Creative director Ib Kamara took inspiration from a trip to Japan, where he was struck by the country’s traditions and the influence of American culture. This season’s theme reflects on how black culture shapes the melting pot of the United States, creating a collection that is vibrant and energetic.
Kamara described the series as unique in the luxury market, not quiet but not loud, and full of fun. Pieces feature Virgil Abloh’s signature designs on shoulder straps and crossed collars, as well as the original arrow logo in metallic faux fur with exaggerated prints.
The women’s collection is described as “fierce and powerful,” with modern, slim-fitting garments and long coats. Lime-hued faux fur adds a pop of color to outerwear, while playful patterns like stars, butterflies, flowers, and dice give the pieces a personal touch. Men’s clothing features soft 90s style with clean, roomy silhouettes, striped cardigans, faux fur scarves, and hunter hats. Collaborations with Wilson include basketball bags and cushioned Baller sneakers.
Both the men’s and women’s collections showcase the same patterns, creating a cohesive and attractive series. Off-White™ continues to push boundaries with its bold designs and unique aesthetic, offering fashion-forward pieces for the modern consumer.
