The fireworks are back on Lake Orta. After two years of fasting (the last time was Christmas Eve 2019) the gulf of Omegna will light up tomorrow at 6 pm thanks to the fireworks display in Gfg Pyro by Fabio Graziani with the musical accompaniment of Spazio 3. Fire, almost as if to exorcise the fears of this return of Covid, in its many forms, is the leitmotif of this weekend’s demonstrations. Today from 5 to 6.30 pm there is the suggestive “Fire and circus” with the Lux Arcana company from Arezzo: it is a performance of acrobatic dance and juggling accompanied by plays of light and fires, luminescent aerial dances and special effects. Theater of the Piazza Beltrami exhibition which will be closed to traffic from 16 to 19 together with the streets of the historic center. Hunt for the “baron”
Christmas is the children’s party and the lion’s share is played by the Fantasy Park with the Ludoteca which this morning will launch a unique “Hunt in search of Baron Lamberto’s house” on the island of San Giulio. It starts from Orta with the animators of the playroom and disembarks on the island where, in addition to enjoying the charm of an enchanted place, children and parents will have to go in search of the home of the character created by Gianni Rodari. The Omegnese writer will dominate the scene also in the afternoon with an animated visit to the museum that bears his name; children will be offered the theatrical readings of “Favole on the phone” interpreted by Adriana Zamboni. Markets and nativity scenes
The whole Cusio breathes the Christmas atmosphere. In Brolo, a hamlet of Nonio, it will be possible to admire the animated nativity scene set up in the headquarters of the Alpine troops: twelve meters long, hundreds of characters with dozens of animations. Among the cribs to see is the one created in the parish church of Luzzogno by Giacomino Rinaldi: a large diorama occupies a side aisle, through which the artist has inserted the birth of Jesus in a setting that reproduces the Strona valley.
