Roman Reigns Chooses The Rock as His WrestleMania 40 Opponent

The WWE Universe has been eagerly waiting to hear about the main event of WrestleMania 40, and the announcement certainly did not disappoint. The press event at the T-Mobile Arena saw Roman Reigns make his intentions clear by choosing his preferred opponent for the Showcase of the Immortals.

As World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins addressed the audience, Reigns interrupted him to announce his plans for WrestleMania 40. Despite fans’ desires for Cody Rhodes to face off against Reigns, Roman Reigns bluntly chose The Rock as his preferred opponent. This decision was met with a strong response, with The Rock speaking of family lineage while being surrounded by boos.

The segment took an unexpected turn when Cody Rhodes came out and declared that he is going to challenge Reigns for the championship, leading to a confrontation with The Rock and an ensuing altercation that required intervention from security.

A tweet from WWE captured The Rock slapping Cody Rhodes at the WrestleMania XL Kickoff event, adding further fuel to the fire. Backstage, tensions continued to escalate as Triple H was being interviewed and both The Rock and Roman Reigns appeared, with The Rock urging Triple H to “fix this sh#t” before leaving with Roman Reigns.

With so much tension and drama surrounding the road to WrestleMania, the buildup to the main event fights is sure to keep fans on the edge of their seats as they eagerly anticipate the final showdowns. It remains to be seen how the storylines will continue to develop as we approach WrestleMania 40.
