Plopsaland De Panne kicks off its new season on Saturday with a Grand Opening. Many BVs went to the amusement park, with or without children, and got into the new attractions themselves.

A lavish breakfast at the Plopsa Hotel attracted the famous guests to the park early. Club Brugge players Hans Vanaken and Simon Mignolet, among others, came with their families and were joined by the best-known Studio 100 figures. It was no coincidence that Club Brugge was well represented: the new Plopsa CEO Carl Lenaerts used to work there.
After breakfast, the BVs entered the amusement park and were allowed to try out the attractions before the general public. Handy for Marthe from K3, who would be overwhelmed during normal opening hours. This time she experienced it in peace with her goddaughter. Studio 100 boss Gert Verhulst and his wife Ellen enjoyed a romantic ride on the Bumba Ride, which opened last summer. Erik Van Looy tried the Wickie the Viking attraction, and before the start of Ghent-Wevelgem, Karl Vannieuwkerke and his family also sprinted towards Plopsa.

The BVs were welcomed by a parade of Studio 100 figures, followed by a speech by Gert Verhulst, Hans Bourlon and Carl Lenaerts. Finally, the mayor of Samson & Gert was allowed to officially open the amusement park for the new season.
