“Scrittorincittà”, the book and reading festival that will return to Cuneo for the twenty-third time from 17 to 21 November, was presented today (Wednesday, November 3) by the Councilor for Culture of the Municipality, Cristina Clerico, and by the Director of the City Civic Libraries, Stefania Chiavero, at the Open Baladin with a preview reserved for the media, waiting for the presentation to the public, tomorrow at 6 pm, at the Monviso cinema with the literary critic and host Piero Dorfles.

“In this edition – began Cristina Clerico – we treasure our experience until 2019 and we add the best that came from the transformation of last year’s edition into a web version”. This is how the program was born (now published online on the festival website scrittorincitta.it) with hybrid modes of use of the 189 appointments on the bill: 92 in presence, 97 online, of which 54 with live streaming for schools and 40 for the adult audience who will be able to meet the authors in the cinemas on 58 occasions.

Stefania Chiavero also specified the spaces that will host the billboard. The Provincial Meeting Center cannot be used to avoid gatherings, so the Festival will be spread throughout the city: will involve the Toselli Theater, the Varco auditorium, the Monviso cinema, the Bing in piazza Foro Boario where you can buy unsold tickets online, Palazzo Santa Croce, Railway station, Library 0-18, Sala San Giovanni, the Cdt room, Open Baladin. “With this new formula – concluded Cristina Clerico – we hope to be able to meet a diverse audience, both for the topics that will be dealt with in the meetings, and because the online formula also allows those who live far away or do not feel like attending yet to participate. the halls “.

The double formula has the advantage of reaching foreign authors: many are present in the program for schools which, due to the difficulty of organizing the exit from the institutes, is mainly online (only 14 face-to-face appointments). It will also allow you to attend debates and interviews with the protagonists of Italian political, cultural and economic life. Among these, Romano Prodi who will be interviewed by the director of “La Stampa”, Massimo Giannini, the magistrates Gian Carlo Caselli, Luciano Violante, Guido Lo Forte, Sabino Cassese, the journalists Ezio Mauro and Lilli Gruber who will answer the questions of the head of the Cuneo edition de «La Stampa» Massimo Mathis, the mathematician-philosopher Piergiorgio OIdifreddi, the voices of science, Telmo Pievani, Amedeo Balbi, Giovanni Caprara, and, among those of History, Giovanni De Luna and Luciano Canfora.
