Shanghai Disney Resort Begins Preparatory Work for New Attractions
Shanghai Disney Resort has officially announced the beginning of preliminary construction preparations for a new attraction in Shanghai Disneyland. The independently themed attraction will be located next to the “Zootopia” theme park, with the project currently in the initial planning stage. Shareholders and management from both resorts are eagerly anticipating further progress on the project in the future.
Since its opening in June 2016, Shanghai Disneyland has already completed two expansion projects, including the “Disney·Pixar Toy Story” theme park in April 2018 and the grand opening of the “Zootopia” theme park in December 2023.
In addition to the new attraction, the resort is also making progress on its third Disney-themed hotel. Construction on the 400-room hotel, situated along the shore of Wishing Star Lake, began in August 2023. This new hotel, combined with the existing Shanghai Disneyland Hotel and Toy Story Hotel, will offer visitors even more accommodation options in the future.
