SHINee Members Minho and Key Renew Contract with SM Entertainment
On April 9, it was reported by Korean media that boy group SHINee members Choi Minho and Key have renewed their contract with SM Entertainment. The two artists have expressed their loyalty and trust in the company, committing to continue their performing arts activities with the support of SM in the future.
The decision to renew their contract was based on the deep trust and strong relationship Minho and Key have developed with SM over the years. They shared their thoughts on the renewal, stating, “SM is a place where we have experienced all the moments together from the beginning of SHINee to now. We are where we are now because of the company staff who have long-term cooperation. We also want to work with SM in the future to create a fresher and more diverse starting point as artists.”
SM Entertainment also released a statement expressing their happiness to maintain a strong relationship with Minho and Key. They commented, “The two renewed their contract based on their deep trust to make Minho and Key shine even more as SHINee members and solo artists. Our company will provide strong support in many aspects.”
However, the other two members of SHINee, Onew and Lee Taemin, have decided not to renew their contracts with SM Entertainment and have signed with a new agency. Their future activities as part of the group remain uncertain.
