An exceptional jury, lots of color, laughter and healthy madness made the 2022 edition of the Red Bull Soapbox Race once again a unique race. San Marino, returned for a day to be immersed in the medieval atmosphere, was the perfect setting to combine tradition and fun thanks to its unique hospitality. Lots of music and performances animated a real Red Bull show. Nicolò De Devitiisfamous speaker of Radio 105 and correspondent of Le Iene, was the presenter of the event, interviewing and encouraging the teams before departure.
The 39 teams, coming from all over Italy, have shown incredible creativity by building truly unique cars. Many different stories and teams of friends united by a crazy passion for engines and strong self-irony. The many people present were able to admire cars of all kinds in the streets of San Marino: a film set with a tribute to the director Federico Fellini, the balcony of Romeo and Juliet, vegetables, papier-mâché animals, pasticciotti or tortellini. The public was also amused by the road accidents: many cars did not stand up to the obstacles, the jumps or the chicane that preceded the finish line.
