The Highly Anticipated Comedy “Still Think You’re the Best 2” Holds Roadshow in Guangzhou

On February 17, the comedy movie “Still Think You’re the Best 2” held a roadshow in Guangzhou. Director Chen Yongshen, starring Zhang Jicong, Wang Wanzhi, Lin Mingzhen, Chen Zhanwen and Wei Junsheng appeared on the scene to interact with the audience who had a sneak peek. Since its release in Hong Kong, the film has topped the box office in a single day for one consecutive week, earning more than HK$25 million at the box office, locking the box office championship in Hong Kong during the Spring Festival. The movie will also be officially released in mainland China on February 24, the Lantern Festival.

“Still Think You’re the Best 2” continues the story of the first part, telling the wedding of the second brother Chen Li and his girlfriend Monica, and the third brother Chen Xi and his girlfriend Zhuzhu. During the road show, director Chen Yongshen encouraged young people to view marriage positively: “Marriage is not an inevitable option. The most important thing is that you really find someone worthy of being with you for the rest of your life.” He also revealed for the first time: “My wife’s surname is Feng, and my surname is Chen.” The prototype of the character Monica in the film and many of her conversations with her second brother are all derived from real conversations between the director and his wife. Wang Yunzhi and Chen Zhanwen appeared together in this road show and generously shared the details of their “love” in the film.
