It is well known that Franco Scaglione (Florence 1916, Suvereto 1993) was one of the greatest car designers in the world of specialists. That he has been unjustly forgotten and has lived the last few years in depressive anonymity sufferer is equally well known. However, to the admirers of old cars or of Italian design the name of Scaglione says little or nothing despite his being one of the most inventive and ingenious pencils among our excellent coachbuilders.
