The first flying bike for sale in Japan

by admin

It is no longer a prototype: the motorcycle that flies is a reality (here the video) and – at least in Japan – it is possible to buy it at a price that is certainly not cheap, almost 600 thousand euros. It does what it promises: it flies for 40 minutes at a speed of around 100km / h and can carry one passenger, as well as the driver. To produce it – and to officially put it up for sale – is Ali Technologies which, to produce it, also had the collaboration of Kyocera and the financing of a venture capital company, Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance.

The flying bike is part of the XTurismo range produced by Ali Technologies, a company specializing in drones, and weighs about 300 kilograms. It uses a “normal” internal combustion engine and has two large fans (typical of drones) that provide the propulsive thrust to get up from the ground.

Reservations for the purchase have already started and the first 200 will be delivered by the first half of 2022.
