Former Telemundo presenter Rashel Díaz opens up about struggles behind the smiles
For over a decade, Rashel Díaz graced Hispanic television screens in the United States as the host of “Un Nuevo Día” on Telemundo. Known for her infectious energy and constant smile, few knew the challenges and demands she faced behind the scenes.
In a recent interview with Venezuelan presenter Rodner Figueroa, Díaz poured her heart out about the pressure she felt to conform to a certain image imposed by the network. “I was told, don’t laugh, don’t dance, don’t move. I felt like I was not allowed to be myself,” she shared.
Initially, Díaz enjoyed more freedom on the show, but as time passed, the expectations became suffocating, leading to a period of stress and discomfort. In 2020, she made the difficult decision to leave television to support her husband through a personal struggle with addiction.
Today, Díaz has found peace in her new role as a motivational coach, using her personal Instagram account to share positive messages with her two million followers. Despite the challenges she faced in her TV career, Díaz continues to inspire others with her resilience and authenticity.
