After an arduous operation, the Río Cuarto police managed to subdue an 80-year-old man who had barricaded himself in his home in the middle of an argument with his wife, whom he took hostage.
The incident took place in a house located in the Fénix neighborhood, in the alternate capital. The retiree allegedly had a firearm in his possession and threatened to take his own life,

It was the man’s own wife who managed to leave the house and ask the neighbors for help.
The operation began tomorrow and concluded after noon. Departmental police intervened; the Duar group, Eter and an emergency service.
According to reports, the man was an alcoholic and in that context the situation of violence arose.
