TOMBOGO Launches “Hyphy Era” Campaign with Girbogo Jeans Series

AUCKLAND DESIGNER TOMMY BOGO RELEASES NEO-HYPHY INSPIRED JEANS SERIES

Auckland based designer Tommy Bogo is taking the fashion world by storm with the release of his latest Girbogo jeans series, inspired by the Hyphy era. The cutting-edge brand TOMBOGO has teamed up with producer Traxamillion to create a campaign that pays homage to the gritty underground production of the Hyphy genre.

The Hyphy genre originated with the release of the song “Super Hyphy” by Keak Da Sneak, blending pounding beats with raw and energetic production. Bogo’s latest collection, titled the “Hyphy Era,” features a group of next-generation creatives who grew up in the Hyphy era, calling themselves “neo-hyphy.”

“These jeans pay tribute to the impact that the Hyphy era had on culture globally. The creatives who grew up during this time are now the artists, actors, designers, and creatives who continue to carry this legacy forward. That’s what ‘Neo-Hyphy’ represents to me,” said Tommy Bogo.

The Girbogo jeans series features a loose and boxy cut in traditional washed blue, black, green, and taupe tones, with piping on the edges of small pockets and metal accessories inspired by the era. The collection is now available on the TOMBOGO website for fashion enthusiasts to explore.
