Launch Ceremony Held for Special Action in Digital Education
Beijing, March 28 – The Ministry of Education recently held a launch ceremony for the Special Action for Integrated, Intelligent, and International Digital Education, along with the “Year of Expanding Excellence and Improving Quality.” As part of this initiative, the national smart education platform for primary and secondary schools officially launched its “Online Teaching and Research” column, marking a significant step towards promoting digital education.
Sponsored by the Department of Basic Education of the Ministry of Education, the “Online Teaching and Research” column is a collaborative effort between various educational institutions and experts. This platform aims to enhance the teaching and research capabilities of primary and secondary school teachers by providing access to curriculum standards, lesson examples, expert guidance, and online interactions. The ultimate goal is to improve the quality of education and support the ongoing professional development of educators.
The first national collective online teaching and research activity focused on the teaching of the “Circle” unit in primary school mathematics. Hosted by the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Education, the event provided a platform for teachers to discuss key issues in curriculum implementation and classroom teaching reform, with the guidance of experts in the field.
Looking ahead, the platform plans to continue integrating digital teaching and research resources at all levels, to support cross-regional teaching and research assistance. By leveraging the expertise of educators from various provinces and disciplines, the platform aims to promote excellent teaching practices and improve overall education quality.
This initiative signals a significant step forward in the digital transformation of education, paving the way for a more integrated, intelligent, and international approach to teaching and research.
