Turin and Trento united for a virtual exhibition

by admin

While waiting for the reopening after Easter and to be able to visit exhibitions and exhibitions in person, virtual visits continue. The Science Museum of Trento is well aware of this, and from the beginning of the pandemic it immediately took action to propose alternatives and not block culture. Even now there are many online initiatives proposed that have to do with nature and the mountains: botanical thrillers, video-interviews and many curiosities about the plant universe. The new website dedicated to the temporary exhibition “Tree Time – Art and science for a new alliance with nature” was recently launched: a new interactive space, dedicated to the plant world, to be read and listened to.
The exhibition, curated by Andrea Lerda with Daniela Berta, was born from the collaboration between Muse and the National Mountain Museum of Turin: it was inaugurated on October 31st, two years after the Vaia storm that upset the peaks and lands of the Dolomites cutting down millions of trees. It is an itinerary between art and science in which twenty artists express a new vision and care of trees, woods and forests. Among the novelties of this exhibition there is the branch dedicated to botanical literature “The company of books and plants”, there are the podcasts of “The art of being trees” and there are also video interviews with artists and curators to visually immerse yourself in the world of “Tree Time” every week.
The online initiatives dedicated to families also continue at the Muse with virtual visits for children, tales of ancient fairy tales and teaching of sustainability by experts. While on the bill at the Museo della Montagna the exhibition “Rock the mountain” continues until 25 April and there is also one dedicated to Walter Bonatti and his explorations on the program.
