Vans Asian Artist Alliance Series: A Platform for Unique Creative Expressions

Vans Launches New Asian Artist Alliance Series Featuring Emerging Artists

Vans, the iconic skateboarding shoe brand, has announced the launch of a new season of their Asian Artist Alliance series. Established in 2012, this series has been a platform for artists to express their creativity through wearable art. This year, Vans has invited three emerging artists ā€“ Rarebirth, Bolin, and Mark SBTG ā€“ to showcase their unique perspectives on street and skateboard culture.

Rarebirth, a graphic visual designer from Seoul, has created a design for the Old Skool shoe model, featuring the character ā€œDeckmanā€ with the theme of breaking down walls in oneā€™s heart. The shoe comes in green and white with the iconic checkerboard print on the waistband. The same theme extends to a range of clothing items including T-shirts, woven shirts, shorts, peaked hats, and shoulder bags.

Chinese artist Bolin, known for his black ink paintings, has created a design for the off-white Authentic shoes. With the theme of ā€œescape from the ordinaryā€, Bolinā€™s design features a skateboard image with a heart-shaped head in his signature ink painting style. The clothing series includes printed T-shirts, shirts, and knitted shorts in earth tones.

Skater, footwear designer, and artist Mark SBTG brings a punk rock influence to his interpretation of the classic Style 36 shoe. Using bone patterns in brown, Mark SBTG captures the rebellious spirit of punk in his design. The clothing collection includes T-shirts, printed long-sleeved shirts, and shorts.

The new season of the Vans Asian Artist Alliance series is set to launch on April 27th. Fans of both Vans shoes and contemporary art are encouraged to stay tuned for the release of these unique and creative collaborations.
