Vans Hosts AVE 2.0 Global Skateboarding Tour in Shanghai
Vans recently held the Vans AVE 2.0 Global Skateboarding Tour event at the North Bund International Guest Center Pier in Shanghai, China. The event celebrated the release of Vans professional skateboarder Anthony Van Engelen’s new signature shoe, AVE 2.0, and brought together Vans professional skaters and enthusiasts from around the world to promote skateboarding culture.
Shanghai was the first stop of this year’s Asian leg of the Vans AVE 2.0 Global Skateboarding Tour. Professional skateboarders from China, the United States, Germany, Japan, South Korea, Australia, and other countries gathered for the event. Skateboarders like Anthoy Van Engelen, Curren Caples, Nelly Morville, and more competed in the skatepark alongside a group of skateboarders.
In addition to the thrilling skateboarding competition, attendees also had the chance to explore the AVE 2.0 POP-UP shoe exhibition area. Vans collaborated with street brand AVENUE & SON from Shanghai, the core skateboard team HOLIDAY ROUTE from Indonesia, IdleBeats screen printing art workshop, and Standard Nerds Club to create experiences centered around skate culture.
