Xiajiang Village in Chun’an County premieres large-scale waterscape ecological performance “Where Dreams Begin”
On May 1st, Xiajiang Village in Chun’an County debuted their highly anticipated waterscape ecological performance titled “Where Dreams Begin”. The show, carefully crafted by village residents, showcased a unique blend of traditional rural life and modern artistic expression.
According to Hangzhou Daily, the performance featured village cadres singing popular songs, young entrepreneurs transformed into flower fairies, and seasoned plasterers demonstrating traditional fishing techniques. With a cast of 48 villagers, the show included original ecological performance art, antiphonal singing, dance routines, and musical performances.
The audience was treated to a mesmerizing experience that integrated the natural beauty of Xiajiang Village with various forms of artistic expression. Combining elements of performing arts, light and shadow displays, and visual art, “Where Dreams Begin” provided a truly immersive and participatory experience for viewers.
Due to its success, the performance will be held every weekend and holiday, weather permitting. Running for 40 minutes starting at 7:30 p.m., the show has already received numerous reservations for special performances.
Xiajiang Village’s innovative approach to showcasing their community has breathed new life into the area, attracting both locals and tourists alike. With the support and participation of residents, “Where Dreams Begin” promises to be a continued success for Xiajiang Village.
