The latest youth inspirational drama “Love for a Long Time” featuring popular actress Yang Zi and singer-actor Fan Chengcheng has been captivating audiences as it airs on Jiangsu Satellite TV’s Happiness Theater. Yang Zi’s remarkable performance as 18-year-old and 30-year-old Huang Yingzi has been widely praised by viewers for its depth and authenticity.
In the drama, Yang Zi portrays the dual roles of the youthful and spirited Huang Yingzi, as well as the mature and experienced older version of the character. Her portrayal vividly captures the contrast in their personalities and experiences, resonating deeply with the audience. Reflecting on her character, Yang Zi shared, “What touches me most about Huang Yingzi is his persistence in his dreams and his sincerity to his family and friends. When you are in the most difficult time, your friends will definitely stand up and protect you.”
Furthermore, the setting of “growing young” in the drama has demanded heightened performances from the actors. Yang Zi shared that the initial unfamiliarity among the cast members prompted them to work harder to build camaraderie, ultimately strengthening their performances. “The six of us ‘The group’ would sit together and chat whenever there was an opportunity on the set, and go out and have dinner together. Later on, our relationship became really good, just like we were kids!” she revealed.
Reflecting on her own youth, Yang Zi noted that her experiences have been diverse and fulfilling, leaving her with no major regrets. However, if given the chance to relive her 18-year-old self, she mentioned her interest in learning dance and mastering foreign languages.
