Not long ago, the official said that it would take 500 hours to complete “Dying Light 2”. That’s an absurdly high number for a single-player game, and many felt it was taking too much time.
Apparently the studio Techland itself was not completely satisfied with this way of communication, so releasedClarification Statement, again explaining how much time you actually need to complete the game, which turns out to be much more reasonable.
While it takes about 80 hours to complete the main storyline and each side quest, you only need about 20 hours to play through the entire story. So where did 500 hours come from? Well, it looks like this is for those who really want to do it all over again:
“It takes time to do as much of the game’s main and side quests, choices and endings as possible, checking every place on the map, every dialogue and finding every collectible.”
