Sport, work has begun on the Arcoveggio gym. On 18 July it will be the turn of the Pizzoli gym

Work has begun on the new Arcoveggio gymnasium, with the project involving the construction of two volleyball courts and spaces for rhythmic gymnastics. The project was approved by CONI to organize competitive events at the regional level, with a total capacity of 400 seats. Within the 2023 works plan, the construction of a mandatory parking lot is also planned to accommodate the expected number of spectators and which will be built with drainage materials.

Construction site at the Pizzoli gym

Next week, from 18 July, the construction site of the Pizzoli gym will also start, also in the Navile District, a project financed with funds from the National Operational Program. The intervention consists in the demolition of the central part of the building and in the construction of the new gym.

The building that will be demolished was completely rebuilt in the 70s with a pillar structure leaning against the existing building with a sawtooth roof, completely different from the original.

The new building – as the administration says – will resume the lines of the historic building with a pitched roof and metal sheet mantle. The reconstruction involves the construction of large skylights for natural lighting and ventilation. The new gym will have the characteristics to carry out the training activity.
Furthermore, the neighboring offices will be arranged and a new escape route will be created.
