At the Foro Italico there is the Sport è salute stand: “Movement is your next winning change”

A bracelet, a racket and a screen. 5 minutes are enough to know your health status. Wellbeing and correct lifestyles are increasingly protagonists at the Rome Internationals. Sports and Health keeping true to his name he transformed it into a claim with the simple addition of an accent: Sport is health. One of the cardinal points of the mission of the state company that owns the Foro Italico and organizer, together with Fitp, of the Roman tournament. This new format will start at the Internationals and will then be repeated, albeit in a different way, for all the other events that Sport and Health organises. “In nature everything moves. Movement is the fundamental principle of life. Sport is movement and therefore, due to the transitive property, doing sport is in the essence of life. During the movement, space and time touch and merge in a single instant, creating energy. Positive energy in the case of sport. Endorphins beneficial for mind and body. Sport is Health” underlined the CEO, Diego Nepi Molineris.

HOW DOES IT WORK

Just scan a QR Code and fill out the form on the appropriate page to take part in the experience. Inside the stand (located near the Grand Stand Arena) the dedicated staff will deliver a bracelet that measures some vital parameters such as heart rate and blood pressure. A first measurement at rest, then off to two intense minutes of tennis in front of a huge virtual screen. At the end of the mini-game the bracelet will record the parameters again which will be compared with those at rest and each participant will receive a card. At the stand there will also be information on health issues, correct nutrition and prevention by doctors. “Get involved, train your health, movement is your next winning change. And the effect is always surprising” we read on the website dedicated to the experience. The aim is to stimulate in everyone the desire to do sport which brings health benefits.
