Beta thalassemia, in Italy seven thousand patients but today anemia is (almost) under control

Can we talk about illness lightly, involving influencers and social media? The answer is yes and this is exactly what the Piera Cutino Association will do when it is about to launch the first national awareness campaign on beta thalassemia, a severe form of haemolytic anemia, i.e. a disease of red blood cells deficient in hemoglobin, exposed to a continuous and rapid destruction.
