A plant-based food and fiber plant rich in nutrients such as essential omega-3 fatty acids is flax. The seeds of the flax are called linseeds. This type of fat is classified as a “good” fat because it helps keep cholesterol levels normal and cancer cells at bay, all of which benefits heart health. However, the fatty acids in the flaxseed gel help to bind moisture, giving it a short-term firming effect. Flaxseed gel has the advantage of moisturizing the skin and softening small wrinkles, unlike Botox, which focuses on muscle action. It can provide a brief but welcome reprieve from the tension in the facial muscles.

Why flaxseed face mask is beneficial

This face mask provides a short-term tightening effect. The moisturizing effect of omega-3 fatty acids makes them ideal for use on dry skin. The mask has an anti-aging effect, is rich in antioxidants and helps fight the signs of aging. The exfoliation process removes dead skin cells and prepares the skin for a healthy glow. It helps the body make more collagen, meaning your skin looks plump and young.

Reducing facial wrinkles with flaxseed and flaxseed oil

Because of their antioxidant and omega-3 fatty acid content, flaxseeds have the potential to improve skin health and reduce inflammation – two factors that can accelerate the aging process. If you want your skin to look smoother and younger, try eating more flaxseeds or using flaxseed oil topically. However, results may vary depending on your specific circumstances and the rest of your skin care routine. For specific recommendations on how to treat wrinkles, we recommend that you consult a dermatologist.

Making a flaxseed face mask at home is a breeze. 80g of flaxseed and 500ml of water is all you need.

DIY instructions:

Place 80g of whole flax seeds in a bowl that can handle different temperatures. Bring 500ml filtered water to a boil. Add the hot water and stir the flax seeds thoroughly. Once the mixture has cooled for a few hours, it will thicken and become sticky. To remove the seeds, pour the mixture through a sieve or cheesecloth once it has cooled. It is acceptable if some seeds remain. Take a glass container and fill it with the gel mask. Store this face mask in a container in the refrigerator for up to a week.

Use the natural facial mask correctly

After applying the mask to your entire face, wait about 20 minutes before removing it. Then wash it with cold water when it is dry. When applied to the skin, this mask has a calming and cooling sensation. After just a few minutes you will feel the mask drying and contracting. After using the mask, the skin feels firm and smooth and the redness is significantly reduced.

Flaxseed hair mask is very beneficial for your hair, so you should try it too!

Homemade hair mask

DIY instructions:

Mix 30 – 40 g of flaxseed with 600 ml of water. Bring the water to a boil and let it simmer for 8 – 10 minutes. Stir the flax seeds frequently to prevent them from settling at the bottom of the pot. Watch the mixture thicken into a gel. Remove the water with the flax seeds from the heat and allow the mixture to cool. As the gel cools, it will become even thicker. Pour the mixture through cheesecloth and add an essential oil of your choice and aloe vera gel to the mixture as desired. Place the pressed flaxseed gel in a jar or other airtight container and store in the refrigerator for 7 days.

Apply hair mask

To make it easier to apply the gel, divide the hair into four equal parts. Then apply the flaxseed mixture to your hair in an even layer. Work the mask into the scalp, then into the hair shaft and finally into the ends of the hair. Then cover your hair with a shower cap and leave it on for at least an hour, longer if you want. Finally, use the shampoo and conditioner you prefer for your hair.
